There are some aftercare guidelines you should follow to ensure the best results and minimize any side effects:
- Drinking plenty of water can help your body heal and support the effects of treatment.
- You can gently cool the treated area to prevent or reduce swelling. The ice pack should be wrapped in a cloth and should not be applied for more than 10-15 minutes at a time.
- Avoid wearing makeup for the first few hours after treatment to reduce the risk of infection.
- Refrain from strenuous physical activity for 48 hours after treatment.
- Avoid direct sun exposure, saunas, hot tubs and steam baths for at least 48 hours after treatment.
- Avoid alcohol, smoking and anticoagulant medications during the first hours after treatment.
